FINE WEATHER
WARM TEMPERATURES
! The weather has been-inainly fair in eastern districts, but scattered rain has fallen in western areas, showers accompanying the moderate to fresh .westerly or south-westerly winds. This morning, however, fair to fine weather was practically general, barometers having risen slowly' owing to the advance of a slight anti-cyclone from the Tasmat Sea.
The weather in Auckland yesterday jvas fine and -hazy, with a south-west-erly breeze. In Wellington-it-was brilliantly fine, the wind being a light north-weßterly. ■ Christchurch had a warm and sunny day. The. weather yesterday was again somewhat unsettled in Dunedin, cloudy conditions following a fine early morning. Occasional light showers fell later in the day, the wind being a westerly.
To-day's forecast is for moderate southerly 'winds which will shortly veer to the north again and freshen. Fine weather may be expected generally at first, but in western and southern districts of the South Island unsettled conditions will again appear shortly. Temperatures will be warm.
