SCRUB BURNT OFF
In connection with the formation of the new road to Korokoro from Pctone, gorse and scrub on the hillside -were burnt off to-day. The ilre burnt well in the brisk wind, causing a dense cloud of smoke to envelop the western end'of Petone.
