GREYMOUTH, 7th December
At-an i&queßt at Blackball regarding the death of Lancelot Craig, aged 30, a carpenter, who came from Invcrcargill, a verdict of accidental death through slipping into, the Arnold Itiver on Saturday afternoon last was returned.
A rider was added commending the heroic action of a fellow-worker, Anthony Moore, who repeatedly plunged into the stream in an endeavour to save his mate.
The deceased was working on a temporary bridge in connection with dam construction on the hydro works contract of the Grey "Power Board. Be Btruck his bead on a Jagged rock, fracturing his skull.
