Mr. and Mrs. Claude- Batten, Murphy .street, returned to Wellington last night after a motor trip to Auckland and Tnupo.

Miss llalmai Loughnan has-returned to Christelmrch after spending several months in the North Isla-id.

Miss Dolores Harper, Otfiki, who is visiting her grandfather, Mr. Georgo Harper, Cbristchurch, will return homo this week.

Misa Kuth Pharazyu, Hawkes Bay, is the guest of Miss D. Humphreys, Christchureh.

Mrs. G. S. M'Nair and Miss Margaret M'N'air, who have spent several years in England, returned to Wellington today by the Marania from Sydney. Miss M'Nair has been an undergraduate at Oxford University for the past three years.

Miss Jean Webster, Heretaungn, who has been staying in Christehurch, has left with Miss Ruth Wyun Williams (Cashmere Hills) for a visit to North Canterbury.
