DEBATE PROCEEDING' GOVERNMENT ATTACKED LANSBURY ON POLICY (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, 10th November. In the House of Commons, Mr. Lloyd, Conservative member for the Ladywood division of Birmingham, moved the Address in Reply to the gracious speech, and Mr. A. U. Flint, who was returned for Ilkeston at the General Election by a majority of two votes as a National Labour member, seconded the motion. Mr. George Lansbury, Leader of the Opposition, declared that the Labour Party refused to regard the Government as a National Government, and it would put before Parliament its proposals for dealing with the crisis so that the nation could judge between the actual proposals and° the misrepresentation of them during the election campaign. In the House of Lords the King's Speech was read by the Lord Chancellor, and the Prince of Wales, the Duke of York, and the Duke of Gloucester were present when the Address in Reply was moved by Lord Radnor. Lord Ponsonby, in speaking for the Opposition, announced that .Lord Parmoorhad decided to retire from the leadership of the Labour Parly in the House of Lords, and that he had accepted the position. Lord Hailsham replied for the Government.
