FOUND UNCONSCIOUS
MAN DIES IN HOSPITAL
POLICE INQUIRING
SUPPOSED DISPUTE
Found unconscious outside tin: Uoyai Tiger IK'fel, Abel Wmitli street, en Saturday afternoon, suffering from head injuries, Percy William Childs, a wellknown carrier, living at v, Crosby terrace, died at Wellington Hospital shortly before 6 o'clock last evening
without regainiug consciousness.
Police inquiries were made after ho had been admitted to hospital on Saturday, and a. suggestion has been made that after a dispute with a, man in the hotel a blow was struck outside about 5.40 p.m. Efforts to find eyo-witn esses have so far been unsuccessful, but it is stated that the police have some suspicion as to tho deceased's assailant. On Saturday night a man was questioned at the Mount Cook station, but was not detained.
Arrangements for the inquest have not yet been completed.
