DRUNK IN CHARGE
TWO MEN FINED
Bicliard Allan AVoavcr, a butcher, nged 21, pleaded not guilty in tho Alagistrato'a Court to-day to being drunk in chargo of a motor-car in Customhouse quay yesterday.
The accused; was Keen to enter his car, and five witnesses gave- evidence that they thought lie wus too much under the influence of liquor to drive.
Tho defendant, who did not givo evidence, was fined £20, and had his driving licence cancelled for twelve months.
In the case of Victor Lynn Norris, a labourer, aged 24, it -was stated that the defendant was not the actual driver of the- car, but had only got in to start it for a friend who had a deformed 'left foot.
