SUCCESSFUL DANCES
ART SCHOOL STUDENTS
Many unusual and attraetivo costumes were worn by the Art School students, who held a fancy dress danco in tho Technical College library recently. Gay decorations and the distribution of a dainty supper were tho works of a committee, under the direction of Miss Joan Millington. The com mittee who judged the costumes comprised Mesdames H. Piper and P. Murphy, Misses Wilkie, Meek, Leckie, and Dowland. They awarded the prizes (which bad been donated by members of tho staff) to Miss Molly Cook (Spanish), Miss Peggy Reid (Golliwog), Mr. K. Doyle (Spaniard), and Mr. S. Mitchell.
Among the many present were Misses M. Kissel (Chinese), J. Millington (Pierrette), M. Castle (Eastern Dancer), D. Hawthorne (Dutch), J. Powles (Little Boy Blue), E. Kuring (Gipsy), E. Congreve (Hawaiian), P. Kerruish (Mexican), V. Carr (Old English), M. Hardcastle (Fairy), I. Bate (Spanish), B. Morling (Victorian), Ailsa King (Question Mark), J. Gower (Tibetian), R. Harper, A. Blakiston (Victorian), A. Batonburg, J. Hamilton, and B. Phear (Lady Hamilton); Messrs. J. Ellis, and N. Isaac (of the college staff), K. Hood, A. Sternberg, Rex Carr, F. Diach, J. Harper, L. Harper, J. Scharratt, S. Vinsen, P. Littlejphn, I. Calder, H. Mitchinson, J. Slater, F. Woodward, and H. King. •
