CHRISTCHURCH, 18th October. The cricket competition was resumed yesterday in midsummer weather.' West Christchurch 228, lost to Riccarton 405 for four wickets (Jacobs 83, Stringer 49, Roberts 172 not out, Kiell 45). St. Albans 243, lost to Old Collegians 417 for eight (Smythe 56, Lester 60, Dunster 117, Talbot 55 not out). Lancaster Park 88 and 128 (Saunders 50) lost to Old Boys 238 for nine (Harris 74). East Christchurch 237, lost to Sydenham 242 for seven (Riley 52, Young 5t5 not out).
