The manager ot the Golden Point Gold Mining Company reports under date, 9th October, as follows:—Crushing operations were resumed on Monday, after the installation of the new alternator. The machinery is running smoothly, the alternator Working very satisfactorily. The plates are looking well considering the short run, stone of good value ?oing through, and the plates, being in good order to catch gold, show better than foi' the same period last crnnhmg. The reef is averaging the same width as last week, with better values in places. The drive going north-east from No 4 rise is in six feet, showing visible gold.
