CRICKET OPENING
SENIOR MATCHES ONLY
The Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association has been informed by the Director of Parks and Bcservos that City Council grounds (except the Basin .Reserve and Kilbirnic Ko. 1) will not be n't for match play next Saturday. Consequently, it lias been decided to postpone all junior and third grade competition games, but to play all senior matches, as follows: —
Kilbirnic v. Petone, at Kilbirnie. Institute v. University, at Basm Reserve, No. 1. Wellington v. Midland, at Basin Reserve, No. 2. [ Old Boys v. Hutt, at Lower Hutt. . The matches will be completed on Labour Day, commencing <at 2 p.m., in order to bring the senior and other grade fixtures into line. The second series of senior matches ajid first series of other grade matches are set down for Saturday week.
