A general meeting o£ the Wellington (War-time) Executive of the New Zealand Branch of the British Red Cross Society and Order of St. John was held yesterday, Mr. \D. G. Clark presiding. On the question of nominating a successor, to fill the vacancy caused by the death V>f Colonel W. S. Austin, Captain M. S. Galloway was instructed to approach the Returned Soldiers' Association. Nurses' reports from Hawera and New Plymouth stated that relief work had been difficult owing to increased sickness. Tuition in Red Cross work had been given to school children, the results of which had been satisfactory.
