THIS MORNING'S RECALLS

To-day was the eighth day of the Wellington Competitions, and the steady progress which lias hitherto been necessary to maintain tho schedule Ayas again in evidence. The recalls in the vocal duet class, lady and gentleman, own selection, were Miss Eunice Standen and Mr. G. Gray, Wellington ("Oh, 'Tis the Lord Who Has"); Miss Edith Pcngelly nnd Mr. K. Macauley, Wellington .('"'Nocturne"). Miss Janet Stirling and Mr. Bay Trcwern (AVellmgton) wcro highly commended. ..Also competed: Miss Constunco Taylor and Mr. Alec. .S. iSarr (Wellington). A very high standard was reached in the operatic solo class, ladies, any voice, own selection, and three were recalled: . Miss Katherinc Basketto, Lower Hutt ("O: Del Mio Dolce Arlor"); Miss Kytlie Maciver, Kongotai ("Eitorna Vincitor"); Miss Eunice Standen, Wellington ("Eoniance").
