TO-DAY'S PROCEEDINGS
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL
The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. to-day.
Tho Hon. W. M'ln tyre gave notice to ask the Leader if in view of the fact that .there were 600 school teachers out of employment he would take steps to retire on superannuation all male teachers with over forty years' service, and all female teachers with over thirty years' service.
The Hon. Sir K. Henton Rhodes iuleuds to ask the Leader whether his attention had been drawn to tho publication in newspapers of the photographs of accused persons, and. whother he considered such publication was in the interests of justice.
Replying to tho Hon. C. J. Carrington, Sir Thomas Sidey said that the Government was watching closely the question of Communist propaganda. The Council adjourned until Friday next.
