BROADBENT'S AEROPLANE

FLYING ROUND AUSTRALIA

SYDNEY, 2oth August, Fears were entertained to-day for the safety of tho aviator Mr. H. Broadbent, who began a flight round Australia just after midnight on Monday and reached Brisbane and Townsville.

It has since been learned, however, that the airman apparently was forced down. He and his aeroplane are uninjured.

He was last seen in the vicinity of Bockhampton on Monday. Search aeroplanes to-day sighted a bogged machine in the mud on an island in tho Styx River, 100 miles north of Kockhampton. A land party has gone to the scene.
