BROKEN BYLAWS
Offenders against the bylaws were dealt with at the Magistrate's Court yesterdayafternoon by Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M. Thomas E. Hunt and Stanley Hall were fined £1 for using unlicensed motorvehicles, and on further charges of not having drivers' licences they were convicted and ordered to pay costs. Douglas N. Lane was fined 10s for a breach of the parking regulations. Failing to give way at an intersection cost George Champion 10s. A fine of 10s was inflicted on Owen C. Durham for failing to give way at an intersection. For plying for hire at the Thorndon Railway Station with an unlicensed vehicle. James L. Fenton was convicted and ordered to pay costs. John- A. M'Arthur was fined £1 10s for driving in a manner which might have been dangerous to the public. For a similar offence, Cameron W. King was convicted. The Magistrate ordered that his licence should be endorsed.
A fine of £1 was inflicted on Leonard Shaw for passing a stationary tram. Gordon Curricle was fined 10a for failing to keep to the left with n niotnr-vehicle.
