NEW YORK, 23rd August. At Forest Hills, Mrs. Helen WillsMoody won the United States tennis championship,**defenting Mrs. Fearn'ey Whitting-stall (England), 6-4, 6-1.

In 1924 she won the Olympic singles, and she has won the Wimbledon doubles in 1924, 1927, and 1930, and the U.S.A. doubles in 1922, 1924, and 1925.
