Miss Una Castle will leave Wellington this week for Auckland.

Miss Mona M'Crea will be a visitor to the Chateau, Tongariro, this week. Mr. and Mrs. T. Trask, Hawera, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. "W. Styles, Johnsoaville. Mrs. Eric Beaven, Christchurch, will arrive in Wellington to-morrow to meet her husband on his return from Australia. On Saturday Mrs. Frances Mary Speakman, an inmate of the Auckland l Infirmary, celebrated her 100 th birth-j day. Mrs. Speakman was born in Appicford, Berkshire, and she arrived at Auckland with her late husband in the ship Matoaka in 1559, after a voyage of 16 weeks from Gravcsond. ■
