There is a general desire to mark time, pending developments. There have been, however, a few'private saje tr'anjattions in Bradford on .account of wiols for .export to America. Sates; of tops to. Germany during the past fortnight have been small, and prices h»ve slightly Raised. But this is always th'ef quiestest m.onth of the year for the woo)'trade,'and in view of the present financial stringeticy in that country, nothing'else could have been expected. In France financial restrictions have caused some, trouble, yet combers are very busy;. But prices .of tops are somewhat easier. Spinners are well .employed on old contracts^ but new, business is scarce.
