Rev.i ...Clyde Can- (Labour, Timaru) gave notice to ask the Prime Minister whether it was intended to make provision during the life of the present ,-■ Parliament;for Public servants in various' Departments who; through no fault of their own, had not joined the Government superannuation scheme, to joiit' tho fund, ,maKe, up arrears of contributions and interest,1 and participate in the benefits; and generally, when it was intended to, place the fuud on a .satisfactory footing. He said that last session the Education Committee carried..;a.-. strongly-worded resolution ■urging that the special Committee set up to; investigate 'the whole position shoiild be 'called together without delay, but apparently:nothing had been.done.
