.- The Be.v. I\ Baward made a.plea/forchurch unity rather^than a union of churches. ' He said that different forms of worship were necessary for the fullest expressi-on, of religious ideas.
. The Kc\vK; Bye, of Tasmania, and the Eev. H. Prouse, of Queensland, appealed" for loyalty to missions which! were the greatest means of winning the world to Christianity, and urged the churches" to;combat the materialism1' -which -was rampant throughout the world.- ; . .■■
The BeY: Lionel Fletcher, New Zealand, during.ailunch-hour talk to businessmen, said, that if. the .world were to be;set right}they must.start by employing the teachings of Christianity. No politician or military man was capable of putting the; world ;right;
