COLLEGE DEBATE.
The subject of the debate to be held tomorrow night in the assembly hall at Sil-versti-eim -between St. Patrick's College, Silvcrstream, and representatives of St. Bede's College, Christchurch, will be "That Free IVadc Within the Empire, Together with a Tariff Barrier Against Those Outside the Empire, is Desirable." The contest will be for the Kennedy Cup, presented by the late Mrs. Martin Kennedy. The St. Patrick's College team -will take the affirmative.
An oratorical contest -will also be held for the shield presented by the Very Rev. Father O'Connell, Nelson.
On Monday evening the St. Patrick's Collepe Old Boys' Association is holding a social reunion at the college, Cambridge tea-ate, to entertain the teams taking part in tne college tournament, and to congratulate the old boys' football team on winning the senior B championship.
