BIBLE CLASSES
FEDERATION RALLY
The annual rally of the Wellington South and Island Bay Federation of Bible Classes was -hold on Sunday afternoon, in the Island Bay Methodist Church, under the chairmanship of the president, Mr.' H. A. Harris. The^Scripture lesson was lead by Mr. D. Morrisoni arid.sacred.items were contributed by ; th'e Island ,Bay -Baptist Bible Classes (winners of the' recent inter-Bible class musical. and' elocutionary competitions). ' • '', '' • Mr. M. A:' Tremewan, pi-esident of the Wellington Inter-JBible Class Movement, conveyed to the meeting the hearty greetings of the Inter-Bible Class Council, and wished the federation "every success in its .work. " A roll-call of classes was called by'the secretary,(Mr. A. Lowe), and revealed the fact that.there were nearly, two hundred Bible.class members present from five denominations. , " The Rev. C. B. Boggis (Island Bay Baptist) gave an inspiring address oa the text, "How long-halt ye between two opinions?" (First Book of Kings). It was essential, said the speaker, that the young men and women of to-day, should make a definite choice betweea rGod and the world. The t worshipj of .both Jehovah and Baal would not "mis;:'they''were contrary one to the other. The; rally was an uhqualified^ucc'essVand definitely demonstrated that the spirit of unity.-and fellowship is existant among the Protestant denominations.. The singing of the {Doxology brought the tally to a close.
