PARTY AT LOWER HUTT
Mrs. George Chapman entertained a few friends to tea yesterday afternoon at her home at Lower Hutt. The draw-ing-room was charmingly decorated with bowls of anemones, violets, double stocks, and heath, and on tho tea table was a floating bowl of blue and purple cinerarias and maidenhair fern. Mrs. Chapman wore a draped gown of black satin, with inset bands of black lace. Sho was assisted by her thrco daughters, Mrs. Huthwaito Eonaldson (Christchurch), who is paying,a visit to Wel-
lington, and Misses Zita and Eila Chapman. The guests included Lady Poniare and Miss A. Poniare, Mrs. 11. Or. Euttcr, Mrs. E. W. Kane and Miss Kane, Mrs. A. Gray and Miss M. Gray, Mrs. E. W. Hunt and Miss N. Hunt, Mrs. C. Todd and Miss S. Todd, Mrs. Hamilton Gilmer and Miss M. Gihncr, Mrs. C. M. Malfroy and Miss M. Mali'roy, Mrs. Peter Grant, Mrs. W. G. Eeid, Mrs. Hamilton, Mrs. F. Clayton, Mrs. Howard Eeid, Mrs. B. Stott, Mrs. J. S. Elliott and Miss J. Elliott, Mrs. F. Meadowcroft, Mrs. Cameron Owen, Mrs. W. N. Haire and Miss K. Haire, Mrs. Harison Cook, Mrs. and Miss V.
