FINES FOR OFFENCES
Several fines-were.inflicted at the Wellington Meeting for' riiinor offences. ; On the first, day the jockey, J. W. Brady, was fined £\ for starting: at n wrong bariier.;position;'pn Epbialt.es,' and on the second day lie was fined another £1 for dismounting from Ephialtes before being ordered to. ; On the second day Miss. W.J. Dpuglap was fined £I'for not having the. right colours for Kaokaoroa in the hack steeplechase, and Mr. J. Campbell was fined £2 for being late -..in the birdcage with Thurina in the-same race.
