Mr. and Mrs. Dan Bidtfiford, Ft:atherston, have roturncd home after spending race week in Wellington. Mrs. V. Kemble has taken Mrs. D. W. Duthie's house at Heretaunga. Mrs. Duthie is spending the winter months in Auckland. Miss Elsmie "Ward, Clerinont terrace, left yesterday for a week's holiday in "Wanganui. Miss Isabel Turrell, who was the , guest of Miss Jean, Webster, Hobson street, last :week, returned to Christehurch on Saturday night. ' Mrs. Lan MacEae, who has been the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Duncan, Murphy street, for the races, returned to the Wairarapa yesterday. Miss Dinah Sloinan and Miss Penelope Blundell will leave Wellington this evening for Christ-church, on route to Mount Cook. Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Currie,.who stayed at the Boyal .Oak Hotel for race week, returned to Wanganui this morning. Mrs. Barclay Smith, "Wellington, is the guest of Miss Hazel Elmslie, Murray Ansley's Hill, Christchureh. Mr. and Madame Winnie Bireh-John-stone, Taranaki, are staying at the Windsor Hotel. Miss Janet Knight, Daimevirke, who has been the guest of Mrs. W. S. Pearce, Hobson street, will return homo to-morrow. She will be accompanied by Miss Alison Pearce. ■'.[ ' Mr, and Mrs. "W. Levin, 3Teilding, have returned home after a brief visit to Wellington. Mrs. O. Beetham, who has been the guest of her mother, Mrs. C. B. Bidwill, Pipitea street, for the races, re? turned to the Wairarapa, yesterday. Miss Irene Chambers, Hawkos Bay, who has been staying with Mrs. Edgar Jones, "Otiritiri," South Canterbury, has returned to the North Island. Mrs. F. Fryer and her daughter, Miss Wyvio Williams, who were visitors to Wellington for the races, returned to Hastings yesterday by car. Miss Jean Ludbrook, who has spont several months in Wellington, loft yesterday for, Hastings, en routn to her home in Gisborne. • Mrv.and Mrs. A; F. White and Miss C. White,. Wellington, are visitors to Christchureh. Miss West-Watson left AVeUiugton last weok to visit her brother, Bishop West-Watson, and Mrs. West-Watson, Christebureh. • ; Mr. and Mrsl W.-Hawkins are Wei-' lington visitors to Christchureh. Mrs. R. Bennett, Christchureh, is the guest of Mrs. J. Lockie,- Wellington. Miss Jones, Napier, is the guest of Mrs. 1\ Jones, The Terrace. Miss Mary Samson, Dunedin, who has been visiting Christchureh, arrivled in Wellington yesterday morning.
