SHIP OF FORTUNE BALL
"Embark' Upon tho Ship.of Joy," is the Plunkot Society's motto for the spectular ball onftFriday.of. next week. Every arrangement is in' train to make the ball both joyful, and fortunate to those attending, and to the society whose funds they will aid. In its novel idea, its appropriate dance items, and excellent supper, everything that can be asked for an' enjoyable voyage is offered. IVtiss Helen -ft' Gardner's se.a ; shanty, with male chorus, should set the right note for the evenings Miss Joan Beere's dramatic dance, "The Siren from the Sea," ivill be in keeping with the spirit of the- evening, and" the two ballets trained by Mr. David ftDevitt and Mr. T. K. MacGregor are of truly : nautical flavour. ■••-.■ '. ' : ftft. Dancers and non-dancers .will find equal entertainment. An excellent view of the floor can be obtained both from tho gallery scats and from the supper tables on the floor. Whether they choose to sit on the starboard or port side will be a nice question for the passengers to decide. Dancers will find a large dancing floor space, aud excellent music. ■ Tickets are now on. sale at the Bristol;' and reservations for tables and gallery' seats may be .made. The box plan opens on. Friday morning. Their ' Excellencies the GovernorGeneral and Lady Bledisloc will ■ attend the ball. Mrs. Bernard Wood is chairman of committees, the -designs are by Mrs. James Hannah, and the executive in addition consists .of Mrs. Maearthy Keid, Mrs. C. Bichardson, Miss Jocelyn Riddiford, Mr. Pat Ward. Mr.' XV. Wauchop is in- charge of the dancing floor.
