JOHNSONVILLE SALE.
Messrs. Wright, Stephenson aud Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on Johnsouville 'sale held 7th July as follows:—"In spite of the very rough weather, there was a large attendance of buyers present at Tuesday's sale, to whom we submitted a large yarding of cattle and an average yarding of sheep. The stock was showing -the effects of the weather. The' cattle" yarding comprised good prime quality medium-weight bullocks, with a few pens of heavier sorts, prime quality cows and heifers, with the usual yarding of vealers. Bullocks met with a good demand at last week's rates, while cows and heifers were dull of sale. Vealers were keenly competed for at late rates. The quality of the sheep was up to the usual standard; wethers met with a ready sale, but ewes were uot in demand. Lambs met with good competition. Prices-for wethers and lambs were on a par with last week's rates, ewes being slightly easier. We quote:—Heavy bullocks, ' £10, £9 17s 6d, £9 15s, £9 ss, £8 17s 6d; bullocks, £8 10s, £8 ss, £8 2s 6d, '£8, £7 15s,- to' £7; bullocks, light and unfinished, £6 15s, £6 10s, £6 7s Gd, to £6; cows, heavy,, £5, £4 17s 6d, £4 Ins, £4 10s, £4 ss; cows, £4, £3 15s, £3 12s 6d, £3 10s, £2 17s 6d; runners, £3 10s, £3, £2 17s 6d, £2 10s, £2 ss; vealers, £2, 38s, 355, 335, 32s 6d, 30s, to 255; wethers, extra heavy, 18s; 17s Od; wethers, heavy, 17s, 16s lOd, 16s 6d, 165.3d, 16s; wethers, 15s 6d, 15s 3d. to 15sj ewes, heavy, 15s, 14s lOd, 14s 6d, 14s; ewes, 13s, 12s: 9Q, 12s Bd, to lis 6d; lamb*, heavy, 14s 6d, 14s 34, to 14s; lambs, 13s 9d, 12s 3d, 12s, to lis 6d."
