The undivided' profits of foreign companies were mentioned'as a possible sourco of taxation'for the purpose of providing for tho unemployed by Mr. AY. Nash (Labour, Hutt) in the House of Representatives last uight. ' Mr.-Nash,.said that many'companies operating iir New Zealand would not contribute one penny towards tho unemployment tax. .Ho mentioned that insurance companies, oil companies, and. shipping companies, which did not divide their profits, would escape from the provisions of the Bill.; , .
