Dr. Dalton, Under-Seerotary for Foreign Affairs, ' questioned as to , tho attitude of the different countries to the Hoover proposals, replied that the attitude of the United Kingdom, the .Dominions, and tho India. Governments was already, known, Austria, liul-
garia, Germany, and Italy had, according to information now available, accepted the proposals unconditionally. Belgium, Czecho-Slovalda, Greece, Japan, Poland, Portugal, Rumania, and Jugo-Slavia had accepted the proposals in principle, but had in some cases, it was understood, attached reservations to their acceptance. Hungary had not replied. The negotiations which hail been in progress with Franco had resulted in agreement with the United States. No negotiations wore ia progress with other aaun&rieii*
