MAGISTRATE'S COURT

Cases at the Magistrate's Court were dealt -with to-day by Mr. E. Page, S.M. -Phyllis Mary Hunt, a domestic, aged 27, was convicted and discharged on .1 charge of drunkenness. On a charge of •wilfully damaging four panes of glass, valued at 10s, the property of the New Zealand Government, she was fined £1 and ordered to pay for the damage, in default seven days' imprisonment. Senior Sergeant Edwards told the Magistrate that after the accused had been placed in a cell at the police station she stood on her bed and smashed the window with a pillow.
