UNITED CANDIDATES
Mr. W. Sullivan, of Whakatane, has been selected as the United candidate to contest the Tauranga seat at the General Election. -> ■
Mr. Sullivan, who is serving his fourth term as Mayor of Whakatane, is chairman of the local Unemployment Committee, and-president of the Bay of Plenty Winter Show Association. He has held ofQee as chairman of the Whakatane Harbour Board and Whaka-' tane Chamber of Commerce. He has been closely associated also with sport, and in his early days was a prominent footballer.
