FRANCE APPROVES
CHAMBER SITS ALL NIGHT

RUGBY, 27th June.
The debate in the French Chamber, of Deputies on President Hoover's proposals lasted till 6.30 this morning, when a motion, approving the French Note and stating that the Chamber would rely on the Government to ensure the intangibility of the unconditional annuities undei; the Young Plan, was passed by 386 votes to 139.
The proposals met with strong criticism in the course of the debate.
Negotiations on the French reply commenced this afternoon between Mr. Andrew Mellon, Secretary to the United States Treasury, Mr. Edge, the American Ambassador, and M. Briand and M. Flandin,! French Finance Minister.
Mr. H. L. Stimson, the American Secretary of State, sailed for Europe to-day.
