ELECTORAL REFORM

Sir,—l hud written to, you advocating "preferential voting" in preference to the present method of '"first past the post" before reading your Saturday's paper. in which I was delighted to see that a Bill dealing with the subject has been introduced by Mr. Clinkard. It is of vital importance to the country that some form of voting should be. adopted which will prevent the return of a candidate an' » minority vote, and all who have the. welfare of New Zealand a,t heart will welcome the proposed reform, I tiuef, that you, Mr. Editor, will do your utmost to enlighten the public' oiv the merits of-the. propo&ed fchange, and as far as possible^ensure its adoption by Parliament this session.—l am, etc, -
