STATE ADVANCES LOANS
Jn tho House of Beprosentatives yesterday afternoon Mr. W. Nash (Labour, Hutt) asked for a return showing the amounts loaned by the State Advances Office at varying' rates of interest, together with a statement showing the cost to the Department if tlie rate of interest on loans exceeding 5 per cent, were reduced by (a) # per cent., (b) i per cent., (c) \ per cent., (d) 10 per cent, of the rate charged.
