FREEZING AWARD
Amendments, to tho award and. revised wages are being'sought by the freezing companies of the Dominion before the .Conciliation. Commissioner (Mr. P. Hally). The workers have filed claims for improved 'conditions and an increase in. wagos. Proceedings arc ia committee, but Mr. Hally stated that, as the result of two days' deliberations, v good deal of progress had been made on the lines of tho existing award, and it was expected that an agreement would bo reached on points other than wages;1 ' . The assossors for tho employers were Messrs. D. P. Garrick and J. J. Evans, Wellington; C. G. Wilkih, Canterbury; ,T. «T. Kogerson, Pulmerston North; A. Derbie, lnvercargill; A. Suter, Auckland. Mr. F. V. Sanderson was agent.
The union's assessors were Messrs. A. Bakor, Wellington; 0. Parker and P. J. Kelly, Christchurch; <T. Milburn, Dunodin ; . S. Adams, Auckland; and T. Swans.' M*« W. E, Gill was agent.
