1929 COMMITTEE'S REPORT
PIIOMISED NEXT WEEK
(British Official Wireless.) (Received 19th June, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, 18th June. Lord Macmillan, Chairman of the Committee on Finance and Industry, appointed in 1929 to inquire into banking, finance, and credit, and to make recommendations calculated to enable those agencies to promote the development of trade and commerce and the employment of labour, hopes that the report of the Committee, which, in political circles is believed to be of a very comprehensive and important nature, will be presented to the Chancellor of the Exchequer in the course of next week.
