AUSTRALIAN CHEESE.
New Zealand is first among the overseas suppliers of cheese to the British market, and Canada next. But Australia and South Africa are also , eager to increase their exports to the United Kingdom. The Colac and Warrnambool companies in Victoria recently shipped a quantity of cheese to London for sale in ' the United Kingdom, and very satisfactory reports of the quality have been received about it, A special display, was arranged by the. Director of Australian Trade, Publicity,"and it was attended by agents-general of the several States, by representatives of other Dominions, distributors, merchants, retailers, and numerous experts.' There was a consensus of opinion that ,th,e quality of the cheese displayed was equal to that produced in any other country, and was a credit to Australia. The cheese met with f ready gale, and the only regret expressed was that a continuous supply was-not available. ....'■• • .
