HUTT RAILWAY BUSES
(To the Editor.) j 1 Sir,—l desire to bring to your attention j the apparent lack of local geographical knowledge possessed by one, at least, of the drivers employed oa the railway buses running between Wellington and the Hutt Valley. The other day I had occasion to visit a friend in Cambridge terrace, Lower Hutt. Having only a hazy idea where that street was, I nsked a driver of a bus if he went anywhere near there. He courteously invited me to "hop in, and said "yes." Subsequently, I ■ discovered that the bus was bound for Upper Ilutt, and the nearest point to Cambridge terrace at. which it passed was about a mile. As it was raainrng heavily when I found I had that distance to walk, my feelings may be better imagined than described. Would it be possible for the Kailways Department to supply a locality map or other information to their bus drivers?— I am, etc., ' ' M.L.
