NAVAL BAND RECITAL.

The De Luxe Theatre was filled :]asf night ™ r atl enthusiastic audience ,:-ivj-hen the K.N.A .B. Band gave another successful recital. Community singing, under tiie leadership of Mr. Owen Pritchard, with Mr. Frank Crowther at the piano, was entered Into with spirit. The party of Maori entertainers recently appearing at the Radio Exhibition provided the main portion of the sprogramme. The choir gave great pleasure by the rendering of 'Tolm Wairua," "Ka taka mai," and "Te Ariki." A quartet of four male voices blending well was heard In "Maori Folk Song." .Mr. J. :R!kihana, a violinist of ability, played "Hejre Kati," and Mr. -H. Wereta had a hearty reception for "Hawaiian Airs" on the guitar. "Home, Little Maori, Ilome," was prettily sung by Mr. D. Nifcora. Miss Eileen Grennel, the Maori soprano, gave a delightful renderine of Kreisler's "Cradle Song,"- and Mr. Henare Tahiwi gave his usual finished display in "Song of the Locust," by Alfred Hill. The girls of the party presented the popular poi with pleasing effect. Several bright pieces were played by the band in good style. The selection "Chu Chin Chow" in particular was to the taste of the audience. Other Items were a fox trot, "The King's Horses"; waltz, "Down the Biver of Golden Dreams," and march, "Nutgrove." Recalls were the order of the evening, and the entertainment appeared to be thoroughly enjoyed by all. - ■:
