WORK IN MINES
AGREEMENT.AT GENEVA
MR. SHINWELL'S PART (British Official Wireless.) EUGBY, 11th June. At Geneva the Commission on Labour in Coal Mines arrived at a complete agreement on. the,conditions for lignite mines. The German Government has made concessions which will make it possible to arrive at a general convention. ■ ' . The British Minister of Mines, Mr. B. Shinwell, is reported to have taken a leading ,part in removing the difficulties, which might have led, as last year, to a throwing over of the international agreement on Hours in mines.
