V.M.C.A. PARLIAMENTARY UNION
In connection, with the opening of the V.M.C.A. Parliamentary Union, which is to be' held in the association rooms tonight, the Hon. Mr. Veitch, Minister of Railways, is to attend and officially open the union. The V.M.C.A. has organised this department of its work with a view to reviving debating among the young men of • Wellington. ' The society will follow Parliamentary procedure in all its sessions, .and only subjects of national importance and citizenship value will be debated. Special attention is being given to the encouragement of young speakers, and full opportunity for speaking is to be provided for every . member of the union. ;
