Mrs. G. TPV. Forbes, who lias been paying a brief visit to her home iv Choviot, returned to Wellington this morning. Miss Edwin has returned to Wellington after a visit to Marlborough. Mrs. Brand, Aberdeen, who has been staying with Mr. and Mrs. George Shirtcliffo, Tinakori road, has left for Chriatehureb, whore she is the guest of Mrs. Deans, Kicearton House. Mrs. Hector Bolleston and Miss Joy Upton, who have boon visiting Eotorua, are Staying at the Grand Hotel, Auckland, for the races. Mrs. J. C 4. Coates, who spent a few days in Christehurch, returned to Wellington on Tuesday morning. Miss Beryl Houghton, Auckland, hns returned to Wellington after a visit to Christehureh. Mrs. J. E. Sp'lcer, Remuera, Auckland, is visiting her 'mother at' Lower Hutt. Mrs. W.'j?riest, Timaru, who lias been visiting Palmerston; North, has returned to Wellington, and 'is tho guest of hor daughter, Mrs. G. Shirtcliffo, Tinakori road. Miss V. Kettle, Lower Hutt, has loft for a brief visit to Blenheim. Mrs. H. Pearee, Wellington, is staving at.tho United Service Hotel, Christchurch." ' Mrs. E. P. Pitt, St. Albans,' Christchurch, has returned homo after a visit to Wellington. , Miss Martha Myers, Kelburn, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Myers, Christehureh. Mrs. W. S. Parkes, Auckland, will leave Wellington this week for England. Mrs. P. Hanna, Wellington, left Auckland on Tuesday by the Monowai, en routo to Canada. Mrs. J. Bcrryman is a Wellington visitor to Christehureh. The Reverend Mother and Sisters of Compassion desire to express their very sincere thanks to tho members of tho Two-Garment Society for their valuabla gift of 145 new and 211 nearly new garments, sent to the Homo of Compassion last week.' The work of the society and its generosity was never rnora needed or moro highly appreciated than this year.
