The chorus and orchestra of 300 members have been hard at work for the last there months, and is expected to give, a nno. rendering of this work by this well-known English composer. "Caractacus" was specially written for tho Leeds musical festival, the ii3mo part being .taken by tho late Mr. Andrew Mack, who also sang in tho first performance in Australia, which was given at Melbourne by Yh'o * Phllhantiouie Society in" October, 1912. The soloists selected for next week's performance are: Soprano, Miss Naomi Whailr; tenor, Mr. Harold Preacottf baritone, Mr. William Waiters; and bass, Mr. Harisou Cook. ■ The box plan will open at the Bristol on Tuesday next at 0 o'clock. A full rehearsal will be held at St. John's on Monday, tenors and basses 7 o'clock and remainder at 7.30. ■ .
