HIGH COMMISSIONER
BRITAIN IN AUSTRALIA
APPOINTMENT DECIDED
(British Official Wireless.) (Received 22nd May, 11 a.m.) .RUGBY, "21st May. Tho Dominions Office states, as was recently announced in the Houso of Commons, that His Majesty's Government in tho United Kingdom has decided to appoint a High Commissioner in tho Commonwealth of Australia, with functions comparable with those of the High Commissioners in Canada and the Union of South Africa. Pending the selection of the High Commissioner, Mr. B. T. Crutch ley, at present United Kingdom migration representative in tho Commonwealth of Australia, has been appointed as representative in tlio Commonwealth of Australia of His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom, and is taking up his now duties in Canberra forthwith.
