SURRENDER IN CHICAGO
TO AVOID EXTRADITION

A New York messags states that John Factor, known as "Jako the Barber," wanted in England in connection with alleged falso stock operations amounting to huge sums, has surrendered to the Chicago police.
Ho intends to fight tho ' extradition
proceedings.
On 18th May it'was announced that tho Philadelphia police, at the request of the British Gonsul-Geiioral, Mr. 11.I 1. Watson, were holding one Harry Geen, wanted in London foi1 participation in "one of the greatest swindles over perpetrated in Britain." Geen. is alleged to'have nided a former Chicago hairdresser, "Jako the -Barber," in cheating British citizens out of millions off dollars through falso stock operations. Both men also are said to be well known in Continental gambling resorts for having swindled many prominent people in play. •
