In the first round of the Black Cup,1 played by the Mornington Club on Saturday, the results were as follows:—A. Watkins beat Shanks, 1 tip at the twentyseventh; Stratmore beat Rowatt, 4 and 3; ! Hennessey beat Lett, 2 up; Comeskey beat Day, 5 and 4; Cooper beat C. T. Cooch, 3 and 1; W. J. Cooch. beat Williams, A. G., 3 and 1; Clements beat Carswell, 1 up at nineteenth; Henderson beat Andrews, 1 up; Edwards beat Allison, 3 and 2; Evans beat J. Watkins, 2 up; and Fitt beat Robson, 7 and 5. ~,•», In the second round Kelly beat M. M'Elligdtt, 2 up; Laycock beat Sehg, 4 and 3; Finch beat Mace, 4 and 2; M'Girr beat Donovan, 5 and 4; M'Kvnnon beat Perrctt, 3 and 2; M'Whirter beat Morgan, 3 and' 2; Barton won from Henry, by default; Elton beat O'Brien, 2 up; Edwards beat Henderson, 3 and 1; E. Williams beat Clements, 3 and 2;' Denmston beat Chambers, 4 and 3; Cooper beat C. T. Cooch, 5 and 3; Hennessey beat Coraeskey, 2 up; T. M'Elligott beat Georgeson, 5 and 4; and Watkins beat Stratmore, 2 up. Evans and Fitt finished all square, and will play off next Saturday. L. Evans, in his match with It. Fitt, did the first hole, 173 yards, on the Mornington golf course in 1, thus squaring the match. The third and fourth rounds of the Black Cup will^ie1 played this week-end.
