RELIEF WORK CASE
ADJOURNED FOR A WEEK
On the application of Sub-Inspector Ward,, an adjournment until 29th May was granted by Mr. E. Page, S.M., ia the Magistrate's Court to-day, in the case in which William Morris is charged with obtaining money from the Wellington City Corporation by falsely representing that he was entitled to recei-u <> it in payment for relief worle he hail) done in Happy Valley.
Morris, who is pleading not guiltyj is cluirged with obtaining 14s in respect of work done on 28th March, and lßte for work done on 6th and 7th April, and with attempting to obtain 9s for work done on 10th April.
Joserph Sullivan is also charged oa three isounts of aiding and abetting ia the cd mmission of an offence.
The case was commenced last Fri« day.
