Mullany, ia foimer member of the New Zealand Ifugby ' Union 's executive, and now a prominent Rugby official in Taranaki, is on. a visit to Wellington. After a period of thirty-two years' service, Mr, A, D. C. Gosman, of.thd Chief Accountant's office, New Zealand Railways, has retired on superannuation. He joined the railway service in January, 1900, being attached to the staff of 'the Chief Accountant's office until his retirement. His unfailing courtesy, his genial personality, and his sense of humour endeared him io all. As a mark of the esteem in which he was held,'Mr'. Gosman was the recipient of a valuable presentation from his fellow-officers. Mr. T. P. Hanna, sub-inspector of the .Bank of Australasia, and Mrs. Hanna havo' returned to New Zealand from over two years' residence in Melbourne. Mr. ilanna'-was formerly jiecountant in the inspectors' office of th« Bank of Australasia in Wellington, but was transferred to the Victorian inspectors' office, Melbourne. He has had extensive travelling experience, in ' the -State of Victoria and the Riverinaof New" South Wales, on "the" bank^s affairs. , Air. Hanna will be stationed . in Wellington for the present as subinspector. Mrs Hanna will be leav- , ing for Christchurch this evening on * visit to her sister.
