APPOINTMENT OF LINESMEN
' At last evening's meeting of the Wellington Football ..Association an invitation from the Maninvatu Association to send a senior team and a boys' teum to l'ahneriton on 3rd June was declined.' It was Jscided that Manawatu be informed that it may bo possible to send a team later in tho season, , and . the, Wellington ' Association regrets its inability, to send a team on the,date suggested.
In connection with protest concerning the appointment of'iiliesmen in the recent game with Diamond, a letter from the Referees' Association slated that tho.referee'who.appointed the linesmen acted in all'good faith, and was' uuaware that both linesmen were Diamond support-
crs: 'It was considered that i£ the ..association's previous suggestion that clubs nominate suitable men, was followed, the difficulty would-be overcome.
